HOW WE BUILD THE SKILL

Effective. Practical. Lasting.

Our methods are proven across 900+ projects and 14,000+ learners. We don’t just deliver training — we build organizational capacity for better conversations, stronger teams, and more consistent outcomes.

Change that sticks

Telling people what to do rarely motivates people to change their behaviour, in fact, it often causes them to push back or defend the status quo. This dynamic can escalate frustration for the helper and the person that they ultimately want to support, resulting in disengagement and contributing to burnout. Motivational interviewing resolves this friction by working with a person’s ambivalence instead of against it, helping people to voice reasons for change in ways that are more likely to be supported by their existing attitudes, beliefs, and values.

Learn the purpose, key principles, and person-centred approaches for screening and follow-up conversations. Includes one 30-min practice session. For case workers, community health workers, nurse care managers, and resource specialists.
