Elevate your self-reflection for improved skill? Let’s power up together!
What You’ll Learn
The MICA is a trusted and well-researched tool for assessing motivational conversations. It’s built on the core principles and strategies outlined in Miller & Rollnick’s Motivational Interviewing (3rd & 4th Editions) and helps users evaluate a practitioner’s conversation skills, assess MI competence, and support continuous quality improvement. The ultimate goal? To provide clear, structured, and useful feedback that helps professionals refine their MI skills and better support the people they serve.
In this 12-hour Complete Foundation workshop, you’ll dive into the MICA’s two strategies and five intentions, gaining hands-on experience rating motivational conversations. Plus, after the course, you’ll receive 12 weekly skill-enhancement emails to help you integrate what you’ve learned into your practice. By the end, you’ll have the knowledge and experience to determine if—and how—the MICA can support evaluation and skill development within your organization or system of care.
