At CCMI, we care about people having helping relationships that improve their lives. Our organization and the services that we offer are grounded in the Spirit of Motivational Interviewing, and we are dedicated to teaching skills and redesigning systems to support effective partnerships between caregivers and the people and families they serve in a variety of contexts. CCMI works with organizations to make changes to their care systems to support use of the skills and approaches being taught. Build training capacity in your organization

CCMI’s Train the Trainer Courses help people who are already proficient in a content area to gain the skills and confidence to conduct learning sessions of their own. Successful trainees will come away with hard copies and online access to resources for conducting their own workshops (including a PowerPoint presentation, handouts, and a customizable training plan).

CCMI is happy to collaborate with you to plan customized skill workshops and webinars to meet the needs of your organization. Examples might include

  • A person- and family-centred care webinar series or workshop that includes and overview of guidelines or requirements that are specific to your state or province.
  • A health literacy workshop and for high-school counsellors that focusses on how to give information about specific illnesses that are prevalent in the population.
